Take Your Game to the Next Level at Our Practice Facilities

Our practice facility encompasses a practice range, putting green, and a separate teaching area. The practice range provides both grass tees and mats. Sharpen your skills, both short and long game, by spending time on the Practice Facilities at Somers National.  We have an amazing team of golf professionals to introduce you to the game of golf or improve any aspect of your current skills.  Regardless of age or current skill level, please contact any of our team members for advice or to schedule your golf lessons.

Our golf pros and instructors have an impressive, combined background on not only the game but also different tips and tactics to help those of all experience levels learn different skills and improve their game. Enrolling yourself or your children in golf lessons can be a great way to get in exercise, pick up a new and healthy hobby, and create friendships with other local Greenwich, CT, Stamford, CT, Bedford, NY, and Westchester County, NY golf club members here at Somers National Golf Club.

Unlike other sports, golf is an activity that you can participate in for decades, as while extremely healthy, there is a relatively low impact on the body. No matter if you are looking to pick up golf lessons in order to join competitions and improve as much as possible, or simply learn the basics in order to spend time on the course with friends, our golf instructors are sure to be able to make you more confident when you pick up your next club.

Richard Corsetti - Golf Professional

We’re thrilled that Rich Corsetti has returned to Somers National for his 14th season! Many of our members know him as the head golf professional for East Hill Golf Course for seven seasons.  Prior to joining Somers National, Rich was the assistant golf professional at five other golf clubs throughout Westchester County, including Hollowbrook Golf Club. Rich spent eight years in the PGA program and focused on the junior programs.  His teaching philosophy is “golf is to be played using your athleticism and keeping golf simple… with minor adjustments anyone will play better golf and enjoy it more.”  Rich offers private, group lessons and junior clinics.  He also serves a number of roles in and around the golf course as starter and ranger.

Individual Lesson Rates

  • 30 Minutes  $60 / Series of (5) $240  ($60 Savings, 5 lessons for the price of 4)
  • 60 Minutes $100 / Series of (5) $400  ($100 Savings, 5 lessons for the price of 4)

Group Lesson Rates (includes Juniors)

  • All group lessons are 60 minutes
  • 2-3 Golfers $45 p.p. / 4-6 Golfers $40 p.p.
  • All groups may pick their own golf focus areas

On Course Instruction / Playing Lesson

  • 9 Holes: $125
  • 18 Holes: $200

Skip Marini - Golf Professional

Skip Marini - Golf Professional

Skip Marini is enjoying his fourth season at Somers National Golf Club.  Skip completed his 14th year as first assistant golf professional, and Director of Golf Instruction at Mohansic Golf Course in 2020.  Skip Marini has a decorated history in the game of golf.  Starting off at the young age of 10, Skip learned the play of the game from his grandfather. From there, he enjoyed the game as a pastime but in 2006 decided to make it his career.  He passed the PGA Playing Ability Test in July 2007, entered the PGA program in July 2008, and in 2010, won his first professional tournament at the Westchester Golf Association Pro-Am at Mt. Kisco Country Club.  Since then, he is now in his 10th year as Director of Golf Instruction for YAC, Head Coach of the Yorktown High School Varsity Golf Team for the past 10 years and has 3 career Holes in One.  Skip is well respected in the Met Section as one of the senior members as a PGA Apprentice and has been instrumental in growing the game of golf tremendously with multiple junior programs including 4 rosters for PGA Junior League, over 1200 children that have come through his junior program with registration through the Yorktown Athletic Club, Summer camps and clinics as well as hosting the Richard Lavino Memorial Junior Invitational.  Skip is a consummate golf professional in the way he teaches, his work ethic, his people skills and his love of the game and the integrity and honesty that is synonymous with golf.

Skip is a Certified Instructor for the First Tee of Metropolitan New York and First Aid and CPR/AED training certified.
